Rooted in the history and geography of the Venetian Lagoon, the show unfolds as a poetic and critical exploration of landscape, memory, and ecological fragility. The exhibition brings together sculptures, photographs, paintings, and soil chromatographies, extending Rizzetto’s ongoing project Eroded Ecologies, initiated at the Centre for Research Architecture (Goldsmiths, University of London). This edition was presented at a kiosk on the second floor of IMÇ block 5, reflecting on the culture of çay, the modernist legacy of the building, and the broader context of the city.&nbsp;The launch event included readings by contributors and the presentation of the publication, which was available for free on a limited run. Neja Tomšič explores Rafut Park in Slovenia and gardens tended by Slovenian women in Alexandria through drawings, sculptures, sound, and prints. The exhibition challenges dominant narratives of nature and botanical control by highlighting intimate, often silenced histories, especially the labor of women. It asks how gardens become sites of cultural memory and political urgency through our relationship with place and history. It aimed to bring awareness to the importance of ‘safe spaces’ for non-humans in the environment of the city, and the strategies employed by life to reproduce within concrete architectures. The programme included performances, sound art, artist-led walks around Deptford, workshops and screenings.
